Your primary care physician is your healthcare advocate — providing or coordinating most of your care. As a Sutter Health Plus member, you also have access to Sutter Walk-In Care for everyday illnesses and health needs. Sutter Walk-In Care offers same-day care for treatment of common illnesses, and cost no more than a primary care visit cost share, and may be less, depending on your plan design.
Services
Sutter Walk-In Care staff includes clinicians who diagnose, treat and prescribe medications — all overseen by a physician medical director. From colds, flu and strep throat, to allergies, ear infections, and minor sprains and strains — they cover everyday illnesses and health needs, including flu shots and other immunizations.
For emergent needs, go to a nearby urgent care or hospital/ER.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everyone is welcome at Sutter Walk-In Care, no matter where you receive your ongoing medical care. Check with your health plan to see if it covers Sutter Walk-In Care. Sutter Walk-In Care services are available for adults and children 18 months of age and older. (We recommend infants receive care from their pediatricians.)
Appointments are not needed, but we encourage scheduling ahead online or by phone. Walk-ins are also welcome.
If our care team determines you need a prescription, we can order one for you. You can choose where to have your prescription filled.
Sutter Walk-In Care is staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are trained to treat people for many common illnesses like strep throat, the flu and seasonal allergies. These highly skilled clinicians can prescribe medications and treatments based on your diagnosis. All of our Sutter Walk-In Care clinics are overseen by a medical director and follow physician-developed clinical protocols.
Sutter Walk-In Care locations are open 11:00 am – 6:00 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. We are closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
